Website privacy policy
This notice covers reading the Rounds.News website. The private YouTube publishing tool has a separate publisher privacy policy.
Last updated: October 14, 2026
Reading the website
You can read the news without creating a Rounds.News account. This website does not offer a Google sign-in, collect your social-media password or ask for access to your YouTube account. Its current version does not add advertising or visitor analytics scripts.
The hosting service receives ordinary web-request information, such as IP address, browser information, requested URL and request time, to deliver, cache and secure the website. The site is hosted through Vercel; see its privacy notice.
Cookies and browser storage
- The rounds-locale cookie remembers an English or Spanish edition you choose. It is set when you switch editions and expires after one year unless renewed or cleared.
- rounds-theme remembers your light or dark appearance in local storage.
- rounds-density remembers your preferred story layout in local storage.
- rounds-last-visit stores a visit timestamp in your browser to help mark newly available stories.
Local-storage preferences have no automatic expiry and remain until you clear them or your browser removes them. These preferences are used for the reading experience, not as advertising profiles. Clearing this site's cookies and storage resets them; it does not delete a hosting provider's request logs.
Language and local weather
If you have not chosen an edition, the website uses the host's IP-based country estimate, or your browser's language preference, to suggest English or Spanish.
Weather uses approximate IP-based coordinates and a city name supplied by the host. Coordinates are rounded to one decimal place and requested from Open-Meteo by our server. The website does not request your device's GPS permission. If location information is unavailable, weather falls back to New York for English or Madrid for Spanish. See Open-Meteo's terms and privacy information.
Images and external links
Some story images load directly from the original publisher's image server. That server receives your image request, including your IP address and ordinary browser information. Our story thumbnails suppress the referring page URL, but this does not make the request anonymous or control the provider's cookies and logs.
Following news-source, archive or social-platform links opens services with their own hosting and data practices. If a support link is shown, it opens an external payment page; this website does not collect your card details or embed a payment widget. Stripe's handling of payments is described in its privacy policy.
Contact, retention and choices
If you contact @rounds.news on Instagram, Instagram processes that message under its own policies. The Rounds.News operator uses the information you provide to address your question, correction or privacy request. Send only what is needed, rather than identity documents, passwords or secret credentials.
Browser preferences remain under your browser's controls. Hosting and external providers manage request-log retention under their own policies and configurations; we do not promise a deletion date for records outside our control. Information copied by our operator for a request is kept while needed to resolve it, with correction records kept where necessary to explain an editorial change.
See data deletion instructions for requests concerning records held by Rounds.News, and publisher privacy for the desktop tool's account and API data. New tracking or materially different data uses require an updated notice and any required consent before they are introduced.
