Rounds.News policies
Editorial standards and corrections
Our goal is to explain consequential news clearly in English and Spanish. A strong headline must be supported by evidence, context and an actual development.

Our original editions and the news feed
The website's news feed aggregates reports credited to other publishers. Our original social posts and presenter videos are a separate editorial product. Aggregation alone does not fact-check a story; our original editions require source review before publication.
For an original video edition, compare at least three distinct current developments. Prefer a consequential, verified change over manufactured outrage or a dramatic headline recycled without new evidence. Record why the selected story matters and what remains uncertain.
Sources, facts and uncertainty
Use primary documents, official records and direct statements where available, alongside original reporting. Credit the source of a claim and link the underlying evidence in the post description when the platform supports it. An official statement is a source's account, not automatically an independent confirmation.
Distinguish established facts, attributed claims, allegations, analysis and opinion. When accounts differ, explain the difference. Do not infer responsibility for an attack, a casualty total, a motive or legal guilt from an unverified claim. A preliminary court order is not a final decision on the merits.
Check dates, places, names, numbers and material negations. Make clear when footage, a photograph or an incident is historical. A fresh discussion of an older data-center attack does not make the attack new.
English, Spanish and automated preparation
Both languages must preserve the same facts, attribution and level of certainty. Adapt phrasing naturally; do not strengthen an allegation or change a number in translation. Verify captions and spoken names against the script and sources.
AI can assist with research organization, scripting, translation and production. The Rounds.News operator remains responsible for publication. Automated transcripts, audio measurements and sampled frames have a limited review scope; they do not prove factual accuracy, continuous playback, natural delivery or exact lip synchronization.
Headlines and captions explain the news. Platform AI disclosures identify generated media; see the AI presenter and media policy. Source credits do not replace checks on the rights to images, footage, music or likenesses.
War, violence and public-interest reporting
Describe conflict and other sensitive events with attribution and context. Do not glorify violence, target people for harassment, expose unnecessary private information or use victims' suffering as decoration. Use restrained visuals; label an illustration or reconstruction when it could be mistaken for evidence of the event.
Audience engagement does not override evidence or accuracy. Paid promotion or a material commercial relationship must be disclosed in the relevant content if introduced; it must not be presented as independent reporting.
Report and correct an error
Send @rounds.news on Instagram the post URL, the exact claim you dispute and a reliable supporting source. Explain whether the issue concerns a fact, translation, date, attribution, image or rights. Do not send passwords or confidential credentials.
The operator reviews the evidence. For a material error in our original content, correct the affected text and identify the correction and its date where the platform allows. If the spoken video itself is materially wrong, a description-only change is insufficient: withdraw or replace that edition as appropriate, and explain the correction. Consider both language editions and each platform carrying the mistake.
Minor spelling or formatting fixes need not be presented as factual corrections. For third-party feed content, report the concern to the source and address an inaccurate Rounds.News summary or listing within our control. Preserve a private record of the issue and the action taken; do not claim a correction is live until it has been checked.
